The Residence Kilkenny is a luxury state-of-the-art nursing home which was built for purpose in 2024. We believe in providing more than just a place to live, we offer a caring and homely environment and offer a person-centred approach, ensuring that our care is tailored to the individual.

The Residence Kilkenny is conveniently located close to Loughboy Shopping Centre in Kilkenny and on the KK1 town bus route. This prime location enables residents to remain part of their community. Nature plays a vital role in well-being, and we’re proud to offer a beautiful, expansive courtyard garden that provides a peaceful area for residents to relax and catch some fresh air.

Residents can socialize and make new friends while participating in a variety of activities including live music sessions, quizzes and arts and crafts. Our activities timetable is planned to suit the capabilities and interests of individual residents.

Dementia Care

We know how important it is to choose a Nursing Home where a loved one is not defined by dementia and understand that it can be an emotional journey for all of the family.

Our dedicated and experienced team are passionate about providing the best possible alternative for those who are no longer able to manage in their own home. We focus on maintaining dignity, fostering meaningful connections, and creating moments of joy through carefully tailored activities that engage memory and stimulate the senses.

Convalescence

We offer convalescent care for those recovering from illness, surgery, or hospital stays. With a focus on recuperation, rest, and recovery.

Our experienced staff are here to support a smooth transition back to home, ensuring each resident has the physical and emotional care that they need. We can provide private convalescent care and in addition, are approved by some health insurance providers. Please enquire for more details.

Respite Care

Respite care can vary from a few days to a few weeks, typically when a home carer is temporarily unavailable. Respite care can also help assess whether residential care is a suitable care option for you or a loved one. Please enquire with us or your public Health nurse/GP for more information.

Adult Services under 65

We can also provide care for adults between 18 and 65 years of age with a wide range of health needs. We support individuals both physically and emotionally to work towards optimizing their personal goals using a person-centered approach in a safe and homely environment. We encourage individuals to remain connected to their community and to continue to work towards independent living.
