With women making up over 70% of its workforce, emeis Ireland is deeply committed to fostering an inclusive and empowering environment where women succeed. The organization’s leadership team reflects this dedication, with women holding key positions across multiple levels, including two out of four members of the Senior Management Team.
Elaine Keane, who has over 30 years of nursing experience, has been a trailblazer within the organization. After being appointed Chief Quality Officer in 2021, she recently stepped into the role of Chief Operations Officer in April 2024. Elaine’s leadership continues to shape the company’s operational excellence and commitment to person-centered care. Another remarkable leader in the company, Cathy Jones, Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), brings over 25 years of HR expertise and a strong passion for people development. emeis Ireland also takes pride in celebrating the career progression of women across the organisation. Karen Grogan, who started as a healthcare assistant in 2011, has steadily advanced through roles including staff nurse, clinical nurse manager, and assistant director of nursing. In 2021, she became an associate regional director and in 2024 was appointed as regional director, demonstrating emeis Ireland’s commitment to internal growth and professional development.
Similarly, Linda Nugent has recently taken on the role of Head of Training and Development after previously serving as Training Manager. She acknowledges the organization’s supportive environment: “emeis has created a culture where women are empowered to achieve professional and academic achievements within their careers.”
Miracline Samuel, has also progressed in her role from Director of Nursing to Regional Director. She credits emeis Ireland for its dedication to recognizing talent and fostering growth: “emeis has consistently recognized my potential and provided invaluable opportunities for growth.”
